As the end of the school approaches, I must assess ways I can improve library services for the 2012-13 year. Please complete the survey so Mr. Calderon and I may better address student needs. Those who complete the questionaire by Friday May 11, 2012 will be eligible for a final end-of-the-school year book drawing.

Each April is designated as Environmental Awareness Month with Earth Day as its central focus. The CHS library will host two events from April 3-27, 2012 as a reminder of the importance of bettering the world around us. Library visitors may throw away any aluminum cans or bottled drinks at labeled trash bins. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used for the purchase of library books. Students who submit drawings or poems on ways to improve the environment may enter a drawing for a Barnes & Noble gift certificate. For ideas, take a look at the online site titled "50 ways to help the planet" http://www.50waystohelp.com/ I hope many from the CHS community participate in these activities.
Image from Free Digital Photos Net I enjoyed communicating with many of the underclassmen during 3rd quarter registration. I previously posted the link for online safety. I will now include the links for Online Resources (Freshmen) and After High School: Career & College (Juniors) at the end of this message. You may also retrieve these voice threads at the Web 2.0 portion of the Resource section of the website. Please ignore the Senior Graduation Gear Up since it will be updated for the the next school year.
